Along the way, he must face off against an assortment of monsters and enemies as he travels through various regions.
The game opens with Earnest in search of the lost city of Atlantis. He has been sent by his father to find it, but he quickly discovers that there are many obstacles standing in his way. He must battle his way through various regions such as deserts, jungles, mountains, and underground caves in order to reach his destination. Along the way he will encounter a variety of creatures such as ghosts, zombies, mummies, dragons, robots and more. Some enemies can be defeated by using physical attacks while others require more strategic thinking or special items found throughout the world.
Earnest will also come across various weapons during his journey which can be used to fight off enemies or solve puzzles. These include a sword, bow & arrow set, boomerang and bombs (acquired after defeating bosses). The player can also find different upgrades for Earnest’s weapons which increase their power and range. The graphics in Earnest Evans are very vibrant with detailed backgrounds and colorful characters. The soundtrack is also quite good with catchy tunes that fit the atmosphere of each stage nicely. Overall this is an enjoyable game with plenty of action and challenge for players of all ages to enjoy.
