Seiken Densetsu 3 (or Secret of Mana 2) is a top-down action role-playing game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System released in Japan in 1995. Developed by Square, it was the third installment in the Mana series, following Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana. The game takes place in a fantasy world known as the Mana Continent, where the player controls three heroes who set out to restore balance to their land.

The player chooses one of three different characters at the beginning of Seiken Densetsu 3: Hawkeye, a swordsman from an island kingdom; Angela, an alchemist from a desert town; and Duran, a knight from a northern city. Each character has their own unique abilities and weapons that they can use throughout the game. Along with these characters, there are eight additional party members that can be recruited throughout the story. These characters each have their own strengths and weaknesses which can be used strategically in battle.

The gameplay consists primarily of battles against monsters which take place on an overhead map view similar to other RPGs during this time period. Battles are turn-based and involve selecting commands such as attack or magic from menus while taking into account enemy positioning and status effects. Characters gain experience points after each battle which can be used to level up and increase stats such as strength or defense. In addition to regular battles there are also boss fights which require special strategies to defeat them successfully.

Seiken Densetsu 3 also features an extensive weapon system where each character can equip different weapons such as swords, spears, axes or bows depending on their class type. Weapons have various attributes like attack power or durability which affect how much damage they do when attacking enemies or how long they last before they break respectively. As characters level up they will gain access to more powerful weapons that can be found in dungeons or purchased at shops throughout the game world.

The story follows the three main protagonists as they attempt to restore peace to their land by collecting eight elemental spirits scattered across the continent while being pursued by an evil empire known as The Empire Of Glaive who seek to enslave it’s people and control its resources for their own gain. Throughout their journey players will meet allies who join them on their quest as well as face off against powerful foes all while exploring a variety of locations such as forests, mountains and deserts filled with secrets waiting to be discovered by brave adventurers!

Overall Seiken Densetsu 3 is an excellent entry into the RPG genre for Super Nintendo fans looking for an exciting adventure full of memorable characters and challenging battles! With its unique weapon system, memorable soundtrack and engaging storyline this classic title is still enjoyable today even after two decades since its initial release!
