Inindo: Way of the Ninja is a Super Nintendo game released in 1991 by Koei. The game is set in 16th century Japan and tells the story of an orphan named Takechiyo who has been adopted by a ninja clan. Takechiyo must prove himself to his new family and earn their trust by becoming a master ninja.
The game is played from an overhead perspective with exploration, combat, and puzzle solving elements. Players navigate through various locations such as towns, forests, castles, and caves while completing missions for the ninja clan. During these missions players may have to battle enemies or solve puzzles in order to progress. Combat takes place on an 8x8 grid where players can move their characters around and attack enemies with weapons such as swords or shurikens. Defeating enemies gives players experience points which can be used to level up their characters and learn new skills.
Players also have access to a variety of items that can be purchased from stores or found during exploration. These items include healing herbs, bombs, traps, weapons, armor, tools, and more which can be used to help complete missions or get past obstacles. There are also several mini-games that can be played such as fishing or gambling which provide additional rewards if successful.
The main objective of Inindo: Way of the Ninja is for Takechiyo to complete his training and become a master ninja so he can defend his home village from powerful foes such as rival clans or supernatural forces. As Takechiyo completes more missions he will gain access to new areas and eventually face off against the ultimate evil force threatening his home village.
Inindo: Way of the Ninja is an exciting adventure filled with challenging puzzles and intense battles set in feudal Japan that fans of action-RPGs will enjoy playing for hours on end!
