Monopoly is a classic board game that was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1991. The game was developed by Sculptured Software and published by Parker Brothers. It is based on the popular board game of the same name, which has been around since 1935.
The objective of Monopoly on the SNES is to bankrupt your opponents or be the last player standing with money left over. You must buy, sell, and trade properties on the board while avoiding getting sent to jail. Just like in the original board game, you roll two dice to move around the board and land on different spaces. Depending on what space you land on, you can collect money from other players or pay rent if they own it. If you get lucky enough to land on a Chance or Community Chest space, you may receive a bonus or have to pay taxes.
The SNES version of Monopoly includes some additional features such as a Save Game feature, so that you can save your progress and continue playing at a later time. It also features three difficulty levels; Easy, Medium and Hard - each with different levels of AI difficulty so that even experienced players will be challenged. Additionally, there are some special items which can be used during gameplay such as Get Out Of Jail Free cards which allow players to avoid paying rent when landing on an owned property.
Overall, Monopoly for SNES is an excellent adaptation of the classic board game that remains popular today among both fans of the original version and those who have never played it before but are looking for an entertaining way to pass time with friends or family members. With its fun visuals and easy-to-learn ruleset, this version is sure to provide hours of entertainment for everyone!
