Mario Paint is a video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) that was released in 1992. It is a drawing and animation program that allows players to create their own art and music. Players can use the mouse-like SNES Mouse accessory to draw and animate, as well as compose music using the built-in sound composer. The game also includes a number of minigames, such as Fly Swatter, Gnat Attack, and Stamp Game.

The main draw of Mario Paint is its ability to create art. The player can use the mouse-like SNES Mouse accessory to draw on an 8x8 grid canvas. They have access to several different tools including a pencil, eraser, line tool, paint bucket, text tool and more. The player can also choose from a variety of colors and patterns to customize their work further. Additionally, players can save their work to a blank floppy disk or even print it out on their SNES Printer accessory for physical copies.

Mario Paint also has an animation feature which allows players to create short animations with their artwork by setting keyframes at different points in time and then playing them back in sequence. This feature uses the same tools available for creating static artwork but adds additional options such as frame rate control and background images that can be used as backgrounds for the animations.

In addition to creating art and animations, Mario Paint also contains several minigames which are accessed via the title screen of the game. These minigames include Fly Swatter where you swat flies with your mouse cursor; Gnat Attack where you shoot gnats with your mouse cursor; Stamp Game where you must match stamps before time runs out; Target Shooting where you must shoot targets before time runs out; Egg Catcher where you must catch eggs that are falling from trees; Doodle City where you construct buildings by drawing them onscreen; Soccer where you kick soccer balls around a field; Air Rally where you race against other characters in balloons; Musical Chairs where you must get into chairs before others do; Maze Race which requires navigating through a maze quickly; and Car Race which involves racing cars around a track against other cars controlled by computer AI opponents or other human players via link cable connection.

Mario Paint is considered by many people as one of the most creative games ever made for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System due to its unique combination of art creation tools, animation features, mini games and more. It has become an icon in gaming culture due its lasting popularity among gamers over 30 years after its initial release date in 1992
