Alice no Paint Adventure is a unique action-adventure game released exclusively for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1996. Developed by Masaya, the same company behind the popular Langrisser series and Nights into Dreams, Alice no Paint Adventure takes players on an imaginative journey through a world of art and creativity.
The player assumes the role of Alice, a young girl who has been invited to explore the magical world of Paint Land by its mysterious king. Armed with only her paintbrush and canvas, Alice must traverse this strange land filled with vibrant colors and strange creatures. Along the way she will encounter numerous obstacles, such as locked doors and monsters that can only be defeated by using her paintbrush in battle. In addition to these battles, Alice must also complete puzzles, collect items, and interact with characters in order to progress through the game.
Alice's primary objective is to restore color to Paint Land by completing painting puzzles scattered throughout each level. These puzzles consist of connecting two or more dots with a painted line while avoiding obstacles like walls and moving enemies. As she completes each puzzle, Alice will be rewarded with pieces of a larger painting which eventually reveal a hidden picture once completed. Once all paintings are restored in an area, Alice can move onto the next level where even more challenges await her.
In addition to exploring levels and solving puzzles, Alice can also customize her character by changing her hairstyle or clothes at various shops throughout Paint Land. She can also find special power-ups that give her abilities like faster movement or stronger attacks during battle sequences. These power-ups will come in handy when fighting against bosses at the end of each level which often require special strategies in order to defeat them.
Alice no Paint Adventure is an enjoyable experience for both children and adults alike due to its creative gameplay elements combined with its colorful visuals and whimsical soundtrack. It is sure to provide hours of fun for those looking for something different from other SNES games at the time.
