Lost Vikings, The is a side-scrolling puzzle game developed by Silicon & Synapse (now known as Blizzard Entertainment) and released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. The game follows three vikings - Erik the Swift, Olaf the Stout, and Baleog the Fierce - who were abducted by Tomator, an alien emperor from outer space. The player must guide the trio of vikings through each level to reach the exit while using their individual abilities to solve puzzles and progress.

The game features 24 levels divided into four distinct worlds: The Jungle World, Ice World, Factory World, and Wacky World. Each world contains six levels filled with enemies such as robots, aliens, and dragons that must be defeated in order to progress. In addition to these enemies are obstacles such as pits of lava or spikes that must be avoided or solved by using each Viking’s unique abilities.

Erik is able to jump high and run fast; Olaf can use his shield as a platform for Erik to stand on; and Baleog can attack enemies with his sword or shoot arrows at them from a distance. Throughout the game there are also power-ups that can be collected which will increase the strength of each Viking’s attacks or give them special abilities such as being able to fly or walk through walls.

Each level also contains various switches that need to be activated in order to open certain doors or activate certain mechanisms in order for progress to continue. The player has full control over all three Vikings at once but can switch between them at any time in order to solve puzzles or fight off enemies more efficiently. Once all three Vikings reach the exit of each level they will move on to the next one until eventually reaching Tomator’s spaceship where they must defeat him before being returned home safely.

Lost Vikings was well received upon release by critics who praised its originality and challenging gameplay mechanics. It also spawned two sequels - Lost Vikings II: Norse By Norsewest (1997) and Lost Vikings 3 (1999) - both of which were released on various platforms including PC, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, and PlayStation Portable among others.
