Super Bomberman is a classic video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993. It is a 2D action-puzzle game developed by Hudson Soft and published by Nintendo. The game was later released for other platforms, including the Game Boy, PC, and PlayStation.
The object of the game is to clear all levels of enemies using bombs to progress through the stages. Players control a character called Bomberman, who can move around the screen and drop bombs that will explode after a few seconds. When an enemy touches a bomb or its explosion, it will be defeated. Bombs can also be used to destroy walls and other obstacles which may block access to items or power-ups that can help Bomberman in his quest. The player must use strategy and skillful timing when placing bombs in order to defeat enemies while avoiding their own explosions.
The goal of each stage is to defeat all enemies before time runs out. Enemies come in various forms, such as small robots known as “Gruntbots” who walk around randomly on the screen; larger robots which chase after Bomberman; flying robots which launch fireballs at him; as well as bosses at certain points in the game which require multiple bombs to defeat them. In addition to these obstacles, some levels contain traps such as conveyor belts or pits which must be avoided or else Bomberman will lose one of his lives.
Throughout the course of the game, players can collect items such as hearts for extra lives, keys for unlocking doors, power-ups that increase speed or range of bombs placed by Bombermen, or even special weapons like a freeze ray or remote-controlled bomb car!
At the end of each level there are bonus stages where players must collect coins within a time limit while avoiding enemies and their own explosions - collecting more coins results in higher scores at the end of each stage. At certain points during gameplay there are also mini-games where players must compete against other characters in events such as races or shooting galleries for additional points and rewards.
Super Bomberman has become an iconic classic among SNES games due to its simple yet challenging gameplay mechanics and colorful graphics - it remains popular today with fans playing online versions on various consoles and computers alike!
