The object of the game is to clear all levels of enemies using bombs to progress through the stages. Throughout the course of the game, players can collect items such as hearts for extra lives, keys for unlocking doors, power-ups that increase speed or range of bombs placed by Bombermen, or even special weapons like a freeze ray or remote-controlled bomb car!

At the end of each level there are bonus stages where players must collect coins within a time limit while avoiding enemies and their own explosions - collecting more coins results in higher scores at the end of each stage. At certain points during gameplay there are also mini-games where players must compete against other characters in events such as races or shooting galleries for additional points and rewards.
