Time Gal is a Sega CD/Mega-CD game released in 1995. It was developed by Taito and published by Renovation Products. The game is an interactive movie, with the player controlling the main character, Reika Kirishima, as she travels back in time to prevent a villain from changing history.
The story starts in modern day Tokyo, where Reika Kirishima is a reporter for a magazine. She is investigating an ancient Mayan artifact called the Time Gal Crystal and quickly discovers that it has been stolen by the evil scientist Dr. Gedow. Dr. Gedow plans to use the artifact to travel through time and change history for his own gain. Reika must then travel back in time to recover the artifact and stop Dr. Gedow’s plans before it’s too late.
Gameplay involves controlling Reika as she moves around each stage, interacting with objects or enemies on screen as well as solving puzzles along her journey. The game also features some action elements where players must dodge or attack enemies using various weapons such as knives or guns depending on the situation at hand.
The graphics of Time Gal are presented in an anime style, with colorful characters and environments that are detailed and vibrant throughout. The music is also quite catchy, with upbeat tunes during action sequences and more subdued melodies during puzzle solving sections of the game.
Overall, Time Gal offers an entertaining experience with its unique blend of adventure and action gameplay combined with its anime-style visuals. The replay value of this title is also high due to its multiple endings which depend on how well you complete each stage throughout your journey through time.
