X-Men: Gamemaster’s Legacy is a 1992 Sega Game Gear side-scrolling action game based on Marvel Comics’ X-Men franchise. The game was developed and published by Sega, and it features four playable X-Men characters – Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm and Rogue – as they battle their way through seven levels of enemies in an effort to stop the powerful mutant known as the Gamemaster from achieving his sinister goals.

The story of X-Men: Gamemaster’s Legacy takes place after the events of the animated series X-Men: The Animated Series. After defeating Apocalypse in a previous adventure, the X-Men are now facing a new threat – the mysterious mutant called the Gamemaster. He has been manipulating mutants around the world in an attempt to create his own version of a perfect society. In order to stop him, Professor Xavier sends the team of Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm and Rogue to investigate and put an end to his plans.

Players take control of one of these four characters as they travel across seven different levels. Each level consists of various enemies that must be fought before progressing further into the level. Along with traditional enemies like Sentinels and Brotherhood members, there are also mini bosses that must be defeated before moving on to the next stage. Players can use each character’s unique abilities (such as Cyclops’ optic blasts or Wolverine’s adamantium claws) to defeat these foes while also collecting power ups such as health packs and extra lives throughout each stage.

At certain points during each level, players will also face off against some of the most powerful mutants in existence including Magneto, Mystique and Sabretooth. Defeating these villains will require players to use quick reflexes as well as strategic thinking in order to come out victorious. Once all seven levels have been completed, players will finally face off against the ultimate enemy – The Gamemaster himself!
