Ottifants, The is a puzzle-platformer game developed by Sega for the Game Gear console. It was released in 1992 and is based on the German cartoon series of the same name. The player takes control of an Ottifant, a small elephant-like creature, and must navigate through each level while avoiding enemies, collecting items and solving puzzles.
The game consists of five worlds, each with eight levels. Each world has its own theme and objectives which must be accomplished to progress to the next world. The goal in each level is to find all three pieces of a key scattered throughout the level and then make it to the exit without being killed by enemies or obstacles. Along the way, players can collect coins which can be used at special shops to buy items that can help them progress further in the game.
The player's main form of attack is a bubble gun which can be used to shoot bubbles at enemies and obstacles. The gun has limited ammo so it must be used sparingly or else the player will lose a life when they run out of ammo. Other forms of attack include throwing rocks or using powerups such as bombs or lightning bolts which can be collected from certain areas in each level.
The game features colorful graphics and animations as well as an upbeat soundtrack that helps set the tone for each level. There are also several bonus levels where players can compete against one another for high scores or collect bonus items such as extra lives or health points.
Overall, Ottifants, The provides an enjoyable experience for gamers looking for a fun puzzle-platforming experience on their Game Gear console. With its simple but engaging gameplay mechanics, colorful visuals and catchy music, it's sure to keep players entertained for hours on end!
