Tarzan - Lord of the Jungle, a Sega Game Gear game released in 1994, is an action-adventure platformer based on the Disney animated film of the same name. The game follows Tarzan, a human raised by apes in the African jungle, as he sets out to save his adopted family from danger. Players must traverse through four levels of jungle environments while avoiding obstacles and defeating enemies. Along the way they can pick up various power-ups such as hearts to replenish health and stars to gain additional points.

The object of the game is to rescue Jane Porter and her father Professor Archimedes Porter who have been kidnapped by Clayton, a poacher determined to capture animals for scientific experiments. Players must help Tarzan battle through enemies and obstacles while searching for the two captives. The goal is to reach each level's end before time runs out, otherwise it's game over!

Players will encounter various enemies throughout their journey including baboons, snakes, giant spiders and even Clayton himself! To defeat them players can use Tarzan's signature yell which temporarily stuns opponents or throw bananas at them. Additionally there are a variety of power-ups available such as extra lives, invincibility stars and energy refills that can be collected along the way.

The controls are simple with only two buttons used for jumping and attacking. There are also several bonus levels located throughout the game where players can collect hidden items or challenge each other in mini games such as hang gliding or vine swinging.

Overall Tarzan - Lord of the Jungle is an exciting action-adventure platformer with great graphics for its time period. The levels are varied with plenty of challenges along the way; however there are some repetitive elements that may become tiresome over time. Despite this it offers an enjoyable experience that fans of Disney’s Tarzan will likely enjoy playing!
