BurgerTime is a classic video game released in 1982 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The game was developed by Data East and published by Mattel Electronics. In BurgerTime, the player controls the character of Chef Peter Pepper, who must navigate through various levels to construct burgers. The objective of the game is to assemble all of the ingredients on each level before time runs out.

The gameplay consists of Chef Peter Pepper navigating across a maze-like platform while avoiding enemies such as Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Egg, and Mr. Pickle. As he moves through each level, he must walk over hamburger buns and other food items that make up the burger in order to assemble them into a completed burger. Once all of the ingredients are put together, they will fall down towards the bottom of the screen where they can be collected by Chef Peter Pepper and he can move onto the next level.

In addition to assembling burgers, there are also bonus items scattered throughout each level that can be collected for extra points. These bonus items include French fries, soft drinks, coffee cups and clocks which add extra seconds onto the timer for that particular level. There are also hazards such as pepper shakers which will temporarily stun enemies if used correctly by Chef Peter Pepper.

The graphics in BurgerTime are simple but effective; they feature bright colors and chunky sprites which give it a retro feel reminiscent of 8-bit games from that era. The music is lighthearted and cheerful but some levels have more intense sound effects depending on how close enemies are getting to Chef Peter Pepper or if he has been caught by one of them.

Overall, BurgerTime is an enjoyable classic arcade game with simple mechanics yet enough challenge to keep players engaged for hours on end as they strive to put together burgers while avoiding their foes at every turn!
