“Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six” was a 1992 action-adventure game released on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) by LJN. It was based on the Spider-Man comic books and featured some of the most popular villains from that universe, including Doctor Octopus, The Green Goblin, Mysterio, The Vulture, Sandman and Electro.

The story begins with Doctor Octopus and his group of villains known as ‘The Sinister Six’ escaping from prison and setting off to take over the world. Spider-Man is then tasked with thwarting their plans by travelling to different locations in order to collect special items which will help him defeat each villain in turn. He also has to battle his way through various stages full of enemies such as robots, mummies and other creatures.

In each stage players must use Spider-Man’s webbing to swing around obstacles while using his agility and reflexes to avoid traps and enemies. Players can also make use of Spider-Man’s special abilities such as webbing up enemies or shooting a web net at them. Once all six villains have been defeated, players will be able to progress further into the game where they will face off against Doctor Octopus himself for one final showdown.

Overall “Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six” is an enjoyable action-adventure game which allows players to experience what it would be like to become a superhero for one day. With its challenging levels, memorable characters and an excellent soundtrack this game is sure to keep gamers entertained for hours upon end!
