The game stars Sonic the Hedgehog, who is on a mission to find his way out of the mysterious Labyrinth Zone. The main objective of Sonic Labyrinth is to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds hidden throughout the levels. The player can save their progress after completing each stage by using a password system which allows them to continue from where they left off later on. Upon completing all five levels, Sonic will face Dr Robotnik in a final boss battle before escaping from the Labyrinth Zone once and for all!
