The Simpsons: Bart vs. The World is an action-adventure video game released for the Sega Game Gear in 1991. The game was developed by Sculptured Software and published by Acclaim Entertainment. It is based on The Simpsons, a popular animated television series created by Matt Groening that follows the adventures of the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

The game follows the standard platformer format with side-scrolling levels and multiple bosses. Players take control of Bart Simpson as he attempts to thwart Sideshow Bob's plan to take over Springfield with his army of robots. Bart must travel around the world to various locations such as London, Paris, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro in order to stop Bob's evil plans. Along the way he must collect items such as skateboards or balloons in order to progress through each level.

In addition to side-scrolling platforming levels, there are also mini-games scattered throughout the game in which players have to complete tasks such as collecting coins or running away from giant robots in order to progress further into the game. There are also boss battles at the end of each stage where players must use their wits and skills in order to defeat Bob's powerful robotic minions and ultimately save Springfield from destruction.

The graphics are colorful and cartoonish with characters and objects looking like they do on the show itself. The music is upbeat and catchy while sound effects add a nice touch when completing certain actions or defeating enemies. Controls are straightforward but can be tricky at times due to some levels having more difficult jumps than others or requiring precise timing when engaging in battle with enemies.

The Simpsons: Bart vs. The World is a fun action-adventure platformer that captures the spirit of The Simpsons series quite well while still providing an enjoyable gaming experience for fans both old and new alike. It's easy enough for beginners yet challenging enough for experienced gamers making it a great choice for anyone looking for a classic 8-bit title featuring one of TV's most beloved families
