The Ren & Stimpy Show, The – Buckeroos! is a Super Nintendo video game released in 1994 by THQ. The game is based on the animated television series of the same name and follows the misadventures of Ren Höek, an irascible chihuahua, and Stimpson J. Cat, a dim-witted but good-natured cat. In this game, players take on the role of either Ren or Stimpy as they try to collect all of their missing buckaroos from around town. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and enemies that must be overcome in order to progress.
The game starts off with Ren and Stimpy’s boss Mr. Horse giving them a task of collecting all of their lost buckaroos from around town. As the player progresses through the various levels, they will face various enemies such as rats and spiders as well as other hazards like waterfalls and bottomless pits that must be avoided or jumped over in order to progress. Each level also has its own unique set of challenges like navigating through mazes or using special items to open locked doors.
In addition to just running around levels collecting buckaroos, there are also mini-games that can be played along the way. These mini-games involve activities such as fishing for piranhas or playing pinball with a giant chicken head in order to obtain extra lives or bonus points. Additionally, there are secret areas within certain levels that can only be accessed by finding hidden keys scattered throughout each stage.
