Parodius - Non-Sense Fantasy is a super nintendo video game released in 1991. It is the fifth installment in the Parodius series, and the first to be released for a console. The game follows a group of cute, anthropomorphic animals as they take on a variety of wacky foes and bosses in an attempt to save their world from destruction.
The game starts with our heroes, Pippo and his friends, being summoned by the King of Kings who informs them that their world is under threat from an evil entity known as ‘The Dark Lord’. He tasks them with finding four magical stones which will unlock the power to defeat him. Along their journey they must battle through eight stages filled with weird and wonderful enemies such as giant octopuses, walking hot dogs, and strange robotic creatures.
Each stage features two levels; one where you fly around shooting enemies while avoiding obstacles and another where you must fight through hordes of enemies before taking on a boss at the end. Each level also contains hidden bonus items which can be used to increase your score or give you extra lives or weapons. The weapons range from homing missiles to lasers, each with its own unique properties that can help you overcome certain enemies or bosses more easily.
At the end of each stage there is a ‘score bonus’ section which gives players the chance to increase their score by collecting coins or hitting targets within a time limit. Once all eight stages have been completed players are taken to the final level where they face off against The Dark Lord himself in an epic battle for ultimate victory!
Overall Parodius – Non-Sense Fantasy is an incredibly fun and quirky game which offers hours of entertainment for both new gamers and seasoned veterans alike. Its vibrant visuals, colorful characters and catchy music make it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Whether you’re looking for some lighthearted fun or challenging gameplay this classic SNES title has something for everyone!
