Jim Power – The Lost Dimension in 3D is a 1993 side-scrolling platform shooter developed by Loriciel and published by Electro Brain for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the sequel to Jim Power: The Arcade Game, which was released earlier that same year. The game follows Jim Power as he travels through five different worlds in order to save the world from an alien invasion.
The game starts with Jim Power being summoned to the laboratory of Professor Brown, who has discovered a way to travel between dimensions. He explains that there are five other dimensions, each of them inhabited by different aliens who have formed an alliance to invade our world. In order to prevent this, Professor Brown has created a device known as the Multi-Dimension-Transportation Device (MDTD), which allows Jim Power to travel between these dimensions and stop the aliens before they can launch their attack.
The player takes control of Jim Power and must explore each of the five dimensions in order to find and defeat all of the alien forces within them. Each dimension consists of multiple levels, with each level having its own unique enemies and obstacles for Jim Power to overcome. In addition to platforming elements, there are also various mini-games scattered throughout each level which can be used for additional points or items. As Jim Power progresses through each level he will also encounter boss battles at certain intervals, which require him to use his various weapons and abilities in order to defeat them.
The graphics in Jim Power – The Lost Dimension in 3D are quite impressive for a 16-bit game, featuring vibrant colors and detailed sprites throughout all five worlds. The music is also quite good, with some catchy tunes accompanying you on your journey through each world. Overall, this is a great game that stands out among other SNES titles due its unique setting and premise combined with solid gameplay mechanics and visuals. If you’re looking for an action-packed side-scroller then look no further than Jim Power – The Lost Dimension in 3D!
