The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie, The is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was released in Japan on October 27, 1994, and in North America on November 11, 1994. The game follows the adventures of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they investigate a mysterious circus that has suddenly appeared in their hometown.
The game starts with Mickey and Minnie playing in the woods when they spot a strange circus tent in the distance. The two decide to investigate and find out what's going on. Upon entering the tent, they are greeted by a mysterious ringmaster who tells them that all of his animals have gone missing. He then tasks them with finding them and restoring order to his circus.
Players take control of both Mickey and Minnie as they explore the various levels of the circus. Each character has their own unique abilities which can be used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Players must also collect items such as coins, keys, and balloons which are scattered throughout each level. These items can be used to purchase power-ups or access secret areas.
The aim of each level is to find all of the missing animals before progressing onto the next one. Along the way players will encounter enemies such as ghosts, robots, clowns, snakes, bats and more which must be defeated using either Mickey or Minnie's special abilities or items collected during gameplay. As levels progress they become increasingly difficult with new obstacles to overcome such as rising lava or collapsing platforms.
The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie is an enjoyable platformer with vibrant graphics and catchy music that captures the essence of Disney’s classic cartoon characters perfectly. The game offers plenty of challenge for experienced gamers while still being accessible enough for newcomers; making it one of Capcom’s most beloved titles for the SNES console.
