D-Force is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up video game developed by Irem and released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993. The game features two-player simultaneous gameplay and is set in a fantasy world of dwarves, elves, dragons, and other mythical creatures. Players take control of a brave dwarf warrior named Dolan, who must battle his way through hordes of monsters in order to save his kingdom from an evil sorcerer.
Players traverse through seven levels of side-scrolling action while fighting off enemies with their sword or special magic spells. Each level has its own unique enemies to defeat, as well as power-ups to collect along the way. These power-ups can increase the strength of Dolan's attacks or grant him access to new weapons and spells which are necessary for progressing further into the game.
The game also features an array of bosses that must be defeated at the end of each level in order to progress further into the game. Some bosses have multiple parts that need to be destroyed before they can be defeated, adding more challenge to the player's journey.
D-Force provides players with a unique experience due to its combination of side-scrolling action and RPG elements such as collecting items, upgrading weapons and spells, and engaging in strategic boss battles. Additionally, the game features colorful graphics accompanied by upbeat music which helps create an enjoyable atmosphere for players while they make their way through the adventure.
Overall, D-Force is an exciting shooting game that offers plenty of challenges for both experienced gamers and newcomers alike. With its vibrant visuals, catchy soundtrack, and RPG elements intertwined with classic arcade-style shooting action; it is no wonder why this title remains popular among fans today!
