Bonkers is a side-scrolling platformer game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. Developed by Capcom, Bonkers puts players in control of the titular character, an anthropomorphic bobcat who works as a cop in the fictional city of Macadamia.

The goal of the game is to help Bonkers complete his mission: tracking down and apprehending criminals across five levels of action-packed gameplay. At the start of each level, Bonkers receives his orders from Police Chief Grumpy, who also provides him with helpful hints and advice throughout his journey. Along the way, Bonkers must battle enemies such as thugs, robots and monsters while collecting coins scattered throughout each stage. He can use these coins to purchase power-ups at stores located in certain areas of each level. These power-ups can range from additional health points to upgraded weapons or even special items that will help Bonkers progress further into the game.

Bonkers can also employ various moves and attacks to defeat enemies, such as jumping on top of them or using a spinning attack with his tail. Bonkers’ main weapon is a mallet he carries which he can use to bash and smash his opponents, but he can also pick up other weapons such as bombs or laser guns dropped by defeated enemies. Additionally, there are numerous bonus stages located throughout each level where players must complete various tasks such as shooting targets or navigating mazes in order to earn extra points and bonuses.

At the end of each level lies an intense boss battle where Bonkers must face off against a powerful criminal mastermind that has been causing trouble throughout Macadamia City. Defeating these bosses requires quick reflexes and strategic thinking as they possess formidable attacks that could easily bring down our hero if not properly countered.

Overall, Bonkers is an incredibly fun and challenging game that offers plenty of variety in its levels and enemies while providing players with enough challenge to keep them engaged until they reach the final boss showdown at the end. With its vibrant graphics, catchy soundtrack and engaging gameplay mechanics, it’s no wonder why this classic Super Nintendo title continues to be enjoyed by gamers around the world today!
