AD&D Eye of the Beholder is a classic RPG developed by Westwood Studios and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was released in 1992, and is based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game.

The game follows a party of four adventurers as they explore the mysterious dungeon known as "The Eye of the Beholder". The heroes are charged with finding out what happened to the previous expedition that ventured into this dark place and investigate its strange inhabitants. Throughout their journey they will battle monsters, collect items, solve puzzles, and gain experience points to increase their character's stats.

Players can choose from six different character classes: Fighter, Cleric, Thief, Paladin, Ranger and Mage. Each class has its own set of skills and abilities which can be used to help overcome obstacles in the game. As players progress through each level they will find more powerful weapons and armor to equip their characters with. Players must also use strategy when fighting enemies; certain tactics may work better against particular types of monsters than others do.

The game features a large variety of environments to explore such as sewers, crypts, caverns, castles and temples. Each area contains hidden secrets waiting to be discovered by brave adventurers who are willing to take risks for great rewards! As players progress through the dungeon they will come across various NPCs who can offer helpful advice or even join up with them if they prove themselves worthy allies. Additionally there are plenty of traps scattered throughout each level that must be avoided or disarmed in order to continue forward safely.

The graphics in AD&D Eye of the Beholder are quite impressive considering it was released on an 8-bit system like SNES; all characters sprites have detailed animations while backgrounds feature vibrant colors and textures which give each area its own unique atmosphere. The music is also quite catchy; it captures the mood perfectly while adding some much needed tension during combat sequences.

Overall AD&D Eye of the Beholder is an excellent RPG that should not be overlooked by fans looking for a classic gaming experience on SNES. Although it may seem dated compared to modern RPGs today it still holds up well due to its deep story line and engaging gameplay mechanics that keep players coming back for more!
