Astro Fang - Super Machine is an action-packed side-scrolling platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Released in 1990, it was developed and published by Natsume. The game puts you in control of a robot named Astro Fang, who must save the galaxy from the evil forces of Dr. Warumon and his alien minions.
The game is set in outer space, and you begin your journey on a small planet called Planet F-1. Your mission is to travel across 5 different planets to collect all 7 pieces of the powerful Super Machine and defeat Dr. Warumon and his alien forces. Along the way, there are various obstacles such as enemies, traps, and puzzles that you must overcome.
To help you along your journey, Astro has two weapons at his disposal: a laser gun and a bazooka. By shooting enemies with either weapon, they will drop various power-ups such as energy tanks or extra lives which can be used to upgrade your weapons or replenish your health respectively. In addition to these weapons, Astro also has access to special items such as bombs that can be used to clear away obstacles or destroy enemies in one hit.
Throughout the game, Astro will encounter various bosses which must be defeated before progressing further into the level. Each boss requires a unique strategy to defeat them; some require specific tactics while others need to be attacked directly with any weapon at hand. If successful in defeating each boss, Astro will gain access to new areas of each planet where he can find more power-ups or even unlock bonus levels which contain even more powerful upgrades for Astro’s arsenal of weapons.
Astro Fang - Super Machine is an entertaining game for those who enjoy classic platformers as well as those who appreciate challenging puzzles and intense boss battles. The graphics are colorful and vibrant while the sound effects are catchy and fitting for each stage of the game. With its fun gameplay mechanics and exciting challenges throughout its 5 planets, this NES title is sure to entertain players both young and old alike!
