America Oudan Ultra Quiz - Shijou Saidai no Tatakai (also known as America Ou Dai Ultra Quiz) is a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game released in Japan in 1990. It was developed by Human Entertainment and published by Jaleco.
The game is centered around the American Quiz, a quiz show hosted by the Japanese comedian, Sanma Akashiya. Players answer questions related to various topics such as history, geography, pop culture and more. The game features three different difficulty levels (Easy, Medium and Hard) and allows up to four players to compete against each other.
At the start of the game, players are given a choice between two categories: General Knowledge or Pop Culture. Each category contains ten questions with multiple-choice answers. After selecting their category, players are shown a question with four possible answers. If they get it correct, they move on to the next question; if they get it wrong, they have one chance to change their answer before the timer runs out.
Players can also use power-ups during their turn to help them answer correctly or give them an edge over their opponents. These include hints which provide additional information about the question; time boosts which add extra seconds to the timer; and score multipliers which double or triple their score for that particular question.
After answering all ten questions in their chosen category, players are given one final bonus round where they must answer five more questions from both categories in order to gain additional points. At the end of each round, points are tallied up and whoever has earned the most points wins that round and advances to the next one until there is only one player left standing – the winner of America Oudan Ultra Quiz - Shijou Saidai no Tatakai!
