RBI Baseball 95 is a baseball video game developed and published by Sega for the Sega 32X console in 1995. It is the fourth installment of the RBI Baseball series, which began with the original RBI Baseball for NES in 1988. The game features five Major League Baseball teams (Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and San Francisco Giants) and five classic MLB stadiums (Atlanta-Fulton Stadium, Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium, Shea Stadium and Candlestick Park).
The core gameplay of RBI Baseball 95 consists of batting and pitching. The player can choose to control either the batter or pitcher. When batting, the player must press a button to swing at a pitch. If successful, they must then time their swing correctly in order to hit the ball. When pitching, the player must select a pitch type from their selection menu and then aim it towards an area on the strike zone. If successful, they will earn points for accuracy and power.
In addition to single-player mode, RBI Baseball 95 also offers two-player mode which allows two players to compete against each other using split-screen view. Both players can choose from any of the five available teams as well as play any of the five classic MLB stadiums. There are also several difficulty settings that can be adjusted prior to starting a game including Rookie (easy), Amateur (medium) and Pro (hard).
RBI Baseball 95 also includes an extensive stat tracking system that allows players to track their performance throughout their season or career. After each game played in season mode or exhibition mode stats such as batting average, home runs hit/allowed and ERA are recorded along with individual player stats like runs scored or strikeouts thrown. These stats can then be used to compare different players’ performances over time or against others playing in different leagues across multiple platforms such as Game Boy Advance or Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).
Overall RBI Baseball 95 is an enjoyable baseball simulator that offers great replay value due to its extensive stat tracking system and two-player competitive modes. It is sure to provide hours of fun for both casual fans of baseball as well as hardcore enthusiasts alike!
