Shove it! The Warehouse Game is a classic Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) Video Game originally released by Sega in 1992. It's a "puzzle, action" game in which the player takes on the role of an employee at a loading dock, tasked with organizing and filling orders for various goods.
The game board consists of several sections, each simulating a different kind of loading dock, where the player must use their skills to manoeuver moving boxes into pre-designated areas. There are also conveyor belts and other pieces of machinery to negotiate around. The ultimate goal is to fill all the orders as quickly as possible while avoiding any clashes with the other items littering the landscape. The game contains 8 levels in total, each taking place in a different warehouse environment including city docks, road construction sites and icy wasteland factories. Each level has different requirements that must be fulfilled before advancing to the next one; such challenges include moving objects around obstacles or packing specific types of goods together.
The graphics have been acclaimed for their level of detail and realism despite being 16-bit sprites. All aspects of gameplay are top-notch with smooth animation and responsive control scheme merging perfectly with the energetic music score and sound effects. The difficulty can become quite challenging towards later stages but it’s rewarding nevertheless as you finally figure out how everything connects together after hours upon hours of trial and error.
If you’re looking for an action/puzzle title to test your patience and skill then Shove It! The Warehouse Game is definitely worth checking out again today especially if you already own a Sega Genesis or played it back in its heyday but even if not this title still stands strong amongst other great titles like Sonic Spinball, Ristar or Golden Axe II making it an essential addition to anyone’s collection
