Wimbledon is a sports game developed and published by Sega for the Game Gear handheld console. It was released in 1994 and is based on the famous tennis tournament, Wimbledon. The game features four different game modes: Single Play, Doubles Play, Tournament, and Practice.

In Single Play mode, players can choose to play as either a male or female tennis player against the computer or another human opponent. The player must then select their court surface (clay, grass, or hard court) before starting a match. Both players start with an equal score of zero and must win four points in order to win a game. In addition to regular shots like backhands and forehands, special moves such as lobs and slices are also available. If the score reaches three all (3-3), then the winner of the next point wins the game.

In Doubles Play mode, two human players can compete against each other in doubles matches. As with Single Play mode, players must select their court surface before beginning a match and must win at least six games to win the set.

The Tournament mode allows up to eight players (four teams) to compete against each other in a single elimination tournament format. Players may choose from any of the three court surfaces before playing a match. The team that wins two out of three sets advances in the tournament until there is only one team remaining as champion.

Practice mode allows players to practice specific shots without having to worry about winning points or losing games. This mode also allows for customization options such as ball speed and spin rate so that players can hone their skills at different levels of difficulty.

Overall, Wimbledon is an enjoyable sports game that offers exciting competition both between human opponents and against computer-controlled opponents of varying skill levels. With various gameplay modes including singles play, doubles play, tournaments, and practice sessions; Wimbledon provides hours of entertainment for fans of competitive tennis games alike!
