Simpsons, The - Bart vs. The Space Mutants is a Sega Game Gear game released in 1991. It is based on the popular animated television series, The Simpsons. In the game, players take control of Bart Simpson as he attempts to save Springfield from an alien invasion.

The story begins with an alien race known as the Space Mutants arriving in Springfield and stealing various items throughout town. To make matters worse, they have also created a giant force field around the city that prevents anyone from entering or leaving. It is up to Bart to discover the Space Mutants' plan and stop them before it is too late.

Players must complete various levels located throughout Springfield such as Krustyland, Moe's Tavern, the Power Plant and more. As Bart moves through each level he must collect items such as a laser gun, a shield and other objects needed to progress further into the game. Throughout each level there are various enemies that must be defeated by either shooting them or using special weapons like a slingshot or water balloon launcher.

In addition to fighting enemies, players must also complete various puzzles which will help them progress further into the game and ultimately save Springfield from destruction. These puzzles range from finding hidden objects to solving riddles and more.

Each level also has its own boss battle which requires players to use their wits and skills to defeat them in order to move onto the next level. After all levels are completed, players face off against the final boss: Kang and Kodos who are two aliens leading the Space Mutant forces in their quest for domination over Springfield.
