Pac-Attack is a puzzle game released for the Sega Game Gear in 1993. The game was developed by Namco and published by Sega. It is based on the classic arcade game Pac-Man, but with a twist. In Pac-Attack, the player controls Pac-Man who must move around blocks to match three or more of the same color in order to make them disappear. The main goal of the game is to clear each level by making all of the blocks disappear before they reach the top of the screen.
The game features three modes: Normal Mode, Time Attack Mode, and Endless Mode. In Normal Mode, players can choose from one of four levels and must complete it within a certain time limit. In Time Attack Mode, players are given an unlimited amount of time to complete each level and can collect power ups as they progress through it. Finally, in Endless Mode, players must progress through an endless series of levels while collecting power ups and trying to survive until their lives run out.
In addition to these modes, there are also several power ups that can be collected throughout each level which give Pac-Man special abilities such as invincibility or increased speed when activated. Additionally, there are four types of enemies that will attempt to stop Pac-Man from clearing each level; these include ghosts, spikes, arrows, and bombs which all have different effects when encountered by Pac-Man.
Overall, Pac-Attack is a fun and challenging puzzle game that offers plenty of variety for gamers looking for something new to play on their Sega Game Gear system. It has simple controls which make it easy to pick up and play while still providing enough challenge for more experienced gamers looking for something more difficult than your typical puzzle game. With its various modes and power ups available throughout each level, Pac-Attack provides plenty of replay value and is sure to keep you coming back for more!
