Riddick Bowe Boxing is a Sega Game Gear sports game released in 1995. It was developed by Flying Edge and published by Time Warner Interactive. The game is based on the real-life boxer Riddick Bowe and features him as the main character. Players take control of Bowe and fight against other boxers in a series of matches. The objective is to defeat all opponents and become the champion.
The game features an easy to use interface that allows players to quickly learn how to play. There are three different modes of play: exhibition, tournament, and championship. In exhibition mode, one player can choose between a single or double match, with up to eight rounds per match. In tournament mode, two players compete in a series of four matches for the championship title. Championship mode allows players to take on all of the other boxers in the game for the championship belt.
Players have access to several different moves during fights including jabs, hooks, uppercuts, body shots and more. Each move requires precise timing as well as accurate aiming to be successful. A power meter at the bottom of the screen shows players how much energy they have left before they tire out or become too weak to continue fighting effectively. If a fighter becomes too weak during a round they will be knocked down and lose points depending on how long they stay down for. Boxers also have access to special moves such as headbutts which can cause increased damage but require more energy than regular punches do.
The game also features several different difficulty settings so players can customize their experience according to their skill level. As expected with any boxing game, there are various stats associated with each boxer including punch accuracy and speed which can be improved through practice and training in order to increase your chances of winning each match you participate in.
Overall Riddick Bowe Boxing is an enjoyable boxing simulation that provides an exciting challenge for those looking for some fast-paced action without having to leave their home or spend money at an arcade cabinet machine in order to do so!
