The Prince of Persia game gear is an action-adventure platform video game developed by Virgin Interactive and released for the Sega Game Gear in 1994. It was a remake of the original Prince of Persia, which had been released for the Apple II computer in 1989. The game follows the same storyline as its predecessor: the protagonist must save his princess from an evil sultan within one hour before she is to be executed.
In this version, the player takes on the role of a prince who must traverse various levels while avoiding traps, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies. The player's main weapon is a sword which can be used to attack enemies or activate switches. In addition to this, the game also features some unique elements such as power-ups that grant special abilities and magical potions that can be used to heal wounds or restore energy.
The game consists of eight levels spread across four different worlds: The Dungeon, The Tower, The Palace, and The Final Battle. As far as sound design goes, Prince of Persia features a decent soundtrack that fits well with each level’s theme; however there are no voice clips or sound effects present during gameplay sequences.
