Players take control of an AH-64 Apache helicopter and must complete objectives such as rescuing hostages, destroying enemy targets, and gathering intelligence. The game has seven levels set in various locations around the world including deserts, jungles, cities, and even a secret base on an island. Players will have to use their weapons to destroy enemy forces and vehicles while navigating through tight areas without taking too much damage or running out of fuel.
The controls are fairly simple; players can move their helicopter up and down with the directional pad while using the A button to fire weapons and the B button to launch missiles. As players progress through levels they will be able to upgrade their weapons with more powerful lasers and missiles that can cause more damage.
The graphics of Jungle Strike are quite impressive considering it’s a Game Gear title; they are detailed and colorful which helps bring life to each level. The music is also enjoyable as it fits perfectly with each mission providing an exciting atmosphere throughout gameplay.
Overall Jungle Strike is an excellent top-down shooter that offers a great challenge for players who are looking for something different than traditional shoot ‘em up games. The variety of levels and objectives keeps things interesting throughout gameplay making it one of the best titles on Sega Game Gear.
