Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is a 1993 side-scrolling action platformer video game developed by Sculptured Software and published by JVC Musical Industries for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game is based on the 1983 film Return of the Jedi, and is part of the Super Star Wars trilogy. It was followed by two sequels, Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The game follows Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia as they attempt to bring down the Galactic Empire. Players control one of these characters as they battle stormtroopers, AT-ST walkers, TIE Fighters and other enemies while traversing various planets in search of their ultimate goal - a confrontation with Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. Along the way, players must make use of various weapons including blasters and lightsabers as well as items such as thermal detonators and force fields.

The gameplay consists of a combination of run-and-gun shooting levels with the occasional side scrolling platforming sections.
