Dragon Ball Z - Super Saiya Densetsu is a Super Nintendo game released in 1993. It was developed by TOSE and published by Bandai, based on the popular manga and anime series Dragon Ball Z. The game follows the story of the Saiyan Saga, where the evil alien race known as the Saiyans are threatening to take over Earth. The player controls Goku, who must battle his way through various stages to save Earth from destruction.

The game consists of two parts: an overhead view world map, and side-scrolling fighting stages. In the world map section, players can roam around areas such as West City, Kame House and Korin's Tower. As they explore these places, they can collect items like senzu beans (which restore health) or dragon balls (which can be used to summon Shenron for special items). They can also fight enemies in this section to gain experience points and gold.

In the side-scrolling sections, players control Goku in battles against powerful opponents such as Vegeta or Frieza. These fights take place on multiple levels with obstacles that must be avoided or destroyed in order to progress. Players have access to a range of attacks including punches, kicks and ki blasts which can be used to defeat their foes. Special attacks called ‘Ki Blasts’ can also be unleashed if enough energy is accumulated during battle.

The game features two main modes: Story Mode and Versus Mode. In Story Mode, players follow Goku’s journey through seven chapters as he battles his way towards defeating Frieza on Planet Namek. In Versus Mode, players can challenge either a friend or computer opponent in one-on-one battles using characters unlocked throughout Story Mode play.

Overall Dragon Ball Z - Super Saiya Densetsu is an enjoyable action/fighting game that captures all the excitement of its anime source material perfectly. With its colorful graphics and intense combat system it is sure to please fans of both series alike.
