Battle Master - Kyuukyoku no Senshitachi, or Battle Master in English, is a Super Nintendo game released in Japan in 1992. It is a real-time strategy game developed by Koei, best known for its Dynasty Warriors series. The game takes place in a medieval fantasy world and the player takes on the role of a battle master who must lead an army to victory against their enemies.
The game is divided into two main modes: story mode and free battle mode. In story mode, the player must complete various missions as they progress through the story. These missions range from defending castles to conquering enemy lands and eliminating powerful bosses. As the player completes each mission, they can upgrade their troops by increasing their stats, purchasing new equipment and hiring more soldiers. The player also has access to special abilities such as healing spells, summoning magical creatures and casting powerful attacks.
In free battle mode, the player can choose from several different armies which they can customize before engaging in combat with other players or computer-controlled opponents. Each army has its own unique set of units which can be upgraded with better weapons and armor as well as special abilities such as magic spells and summoned monsters. The goal of this mode is to defeat all opposing forces on the battlefield and claim victory for your side.
Battle Master – Kyuukyoku no Senshitachi features detailed graphics for its time period along with an impressive soundtrack that helps capture the atmosphere of medieval warfare. Its real-time strategy gameplay offers plenty of depth and challenge while still remaining accessible to newcomers thanks to its intuitive controls and user-friendly interface. Although it may not have aged particularly well due to advances in technology since its release, Battle Master – Kyuukyoku no Senshitachi remains an enjoyable experience for those looking for a classic strategy title on the Super Nintendo system.
