Metal Fighter was a classic fighting game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. It was developed by Technos Japan Corp., the same company that created the popular Double Dragon series. The game puts two players against each other in a futuristic battle arena, where they must use their metal robots to fight and defeat their opponent.

The game is set in 2034, where two powerful forces are locked in a never-ending war for control of the world. Players take control of one of four different robots: Giga, Magna, Aqua, and Terra. Each robot has its own unique abilities and special attacks that can be used to gain an advantage over the other player. The goal is to defeat all of your opponents before they can defeat you.

The gameplay consists of two rounds, with each round lasting three minutes. During this time, players must make use of their robot’s special attacks and abilities to try and gain an edge over their opponent. Depending on which robot is chosen, some moves may be more effective than others against certain opponents. Additionally, there are bonus items scattered throughout the arena which can give players an extra boost if collected during battle. These include power-ups like extra health or increased attack power.

In addition to its single-player mode, Metal Fighter also features a two-player versus mode where friends can compete against each other in head-to-head battles. The game also includes a variety of difficulty settings ranging from easy to hard so that players of any skill level can enjoy it equally.

Metal Fighter was praised for its fast-paced action and intense boss battles as well as its colorful graphics and catchy music score upon release. It quickly became one of the most popular NES titles among gamers at the time and remains fondly remembered by many today as one of the classic fighting games from the 8-bit era of gaming history.
