G.I.
Joe: The Atlantis Factor is an action-adventure game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) developed by KID and published by Capcom in 1992.
It is based on the popular G.I.
Joe franchise, which was released as a toyline in 1964 and as an animated TV series in 1983.
The game follows the G.I.
Joe team in their mission to stop the evil forces of Cobra from taking over the world by finding and destroying seven pieces of an ancient Atlantean artifact known as "The Atlantis Factor".
The game features side-scrolling platforming gameplay with multiple levels and bosses, and a variety of weapons and vehicles that can be used to help progress through each level.
Players will also have to solve puzzles while searching for hidden items throughout each stage.
Additionally, there are several mini-games that can be played for points or bonus items, such as a sliding tile puzzle or a shooting gallery game.
In G.I.
Joe: The Atlantis Factor, players take on the role of one of four characters from the G.I.
Joe team: Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock or Snake Eyes.
Each character has their own unique abilities that can be used to help progress through each level, such as Duke's superior strength or Snake Eyes' ninja skillset allowing him to cling onto walls and ceilings when needed.
Furthermore, each character also has access to a special vehicle they can use to traverse across water or take out enemies quickly; these include Duke's Hovercraft and Scarlett's Jeep Wrangler respectively.
During gameplay, players will come across various enemies from the Cobra organization including robotic drones, strange aliens, ninjas and more who all need to be defeated using either physical attacks or special weapons like grenades or missiles found in crates scattered around each stage; these weapons can also be used against bosses at the end of each level too! Overall, G.I Joe: The Atlantis Factor is an enjoyable action-adventure game set within the beloved G.I Joe universe which offers exciting platforming gameplay along with mini-games and puzzles for added complexity and replayability value; it definitely stands out amongst other games released during its time period due its unique blend of elements from both sidescrolling shooters and adventure genres into one cohesive package making it worth checking out if you’re a fan of classic NES games!
