The player takes control of a team of five super robot pilots and fights against the forces of the Mycene Empire.

The story follows three characters; protagonist Shuu Shirakawa, his best friend Masaki Andou, and their rival Kyousuke Nanbu. The trio are part of a special unit called the Dai-2-Ji, who have been chosen to defend Earth from the Mycene Empire. Along with their fellow pilots, they must battle their way through multiple levels on their quest to save humanity from destruction.

Gameplay involves navigating through various levels while fighting off enemy forces with your team of super robots. As you progress through each level, your team will gain experience points which can be used to upgrade your robots’ abilities such as speed and attack power. You will also find new weapons and items that can be equipped on your robots for even more powerful attacks. In addition to fighting enemies on foot, you can also pilot your robots into battle in a variety of different mecha forms such as tanks and jets.

Dai-2-Ji – Super Robot Taisen features an expansive campaign mode where you can take on missions ranging from simple escort duties to full scale battles against powerful enemies. In between missions you will return to base where you can purchase upgrades for your team’s robots or recruit new pilots to join your cause. With its deep strategic combat system and engaging story line, Dai-2-Ji – Super Robot Taisen provides hours upon hours of exciting gameplay for fans of classic turn based strategy games.
