Dragon Ball – Dai Maou Fukkatsu is a Japanese role-playing game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988. It is based on the popular manga and anime series Dragon Ball, created by Akira Toriyama. The game follows the events of the manga up to the end of volume 17 and features characters from the series including Goku, Krillin, Bulma, Master Roshi, Yamcha, and others.

The game begins with Goku receiving a mysterious letter from an unknown source that challenges him to find the seven magical Dragon Balls. With each ball collected, he will gain one wish from Shenron, a dragon that can grant wishes. The player takes control of Goku as he embarks on a quest across multiple locations to gather all seven balls. Along his journey he must battle many enemies using his martial arts skills and collect items to help him complete his quest.

The gameplay consists of side-scrolling action sequences where Goku battles enemies using punches and kicks while navigating obstacles such as pits and crumbling platforms. In some areas there are puzzles that need to be solved in order to progress further into the game. There are also bonus stages where players can use their collected items to battle powerful bosses or compete in mini-games such as car racing or rock-paper-scissors tournaments. After each stage is completed, players are rewarded with experience points which can be used to increase Goku’s stats such as health points or attack power.

As well as its single-player mode, Dragon Ball – Dai Maou Fukkatsu also offers two-player cooperative play through a link cable connection between two NES systems. This allows two players to team up against enemies in side-scrolling action stages or compete against each other in mini-games.

Overall, Dragon Ball – Dai Maou Fukkatsu is an exciting role-playing adventure featuring iconic characters from the series and plenty of challenging gameplay elements that appeal to fans of both the manga/anime series and video games alike.
