The sound effects were also well done, with engine noises and crashing sounds adding to the atmosphere. One unique feature was the ability to create your own custom tracks by drawing them out on graph paper before entering them into the game using a special code generator. This allowed players to create their own unique courses which could then be shared with friends or raced against computer opponents.

Overall, Micro Machines II is an excellent racing game for the Nintendo Game Boy that still stands up today due to its simple yet addictive gameplay and multiple modes of play. It’s easy enough for children but has enough depth that adults can still enjoy playing it too. With its vibrant graphics, catchy soundtrack and unique track creation feature, it’s no wonder why this classic racer is still so popular over 25 years later!
