In F-1 Race, players take control of a Formula One race car and compete against seven computer-controlled opponents to win each race. The goal is to finish first or second in each race to advance to the next track. Players can choose from five different tracks: Suzuka Circuit (Japan), Montreal (Canada), Mexico City (Mexico), Estoril (Portugal) and Interlagos (Brazil).
