The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2, released in 1990 for the Nintendo Game Boy, is a classic action-adventure game that follows the beloved Looney Tunes character on a mission to retrieve his stolen carrots. Developed by Kemco and published by Hi-Tech Expressions, this game was a sequel to the popular original Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle title. The game features an overhead perspective and requires players to navigate their way through a variety of levels while avoiding enemies and collecting items.
Players assume the role of Bugs Bunny as he attempts to reclaim his stolen carrots from Yosemite Sam. The goal of each level is to collect all of the carrots before exiting through the exit door. Along the way, players must avoid various enemies such as Sylvester, Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck and others who will try to stop Bugs’ progress. Players can also use items such as rocks, bombs and anvils to defeat these foes. As players progress through each stage they will encounter various obstacles such as locked doors or hazardous traps which must be overcome before they can proceed.
Each level consists of multiple screens which are connected via ladders or staircases that allow players to travel between them. As players explore each area they must collect keys in order to unlock doors leading them further into the castle or onto other floors within it. In addition to keys, there are also various power-ups located throughout each level which can give Bugs special abilities such as increased speed and invincibility for a limited time period.
In addition to progressing through the levels, there are also mini-games that can be accessed when certain conditions are met during gameplay. These mini-games involve shooting targets with rocks or bombs in order to earn extra points or additional lives for Bugs Bunny. There is also a bonus room at the end of each stage where extra lives can be earned if all of its objectives have been completed successfully up until that point.
The game includes several difficulty settings ranging from Easy Mode (which makes it easier for younger players) up through Hard Mode which increases enemy strength and introduces new hazards that challenge more experienced gamers alike. It also features password functionality so gamers can save their progress after completing certain stages and return later without having to start over from scratch again every time they play it.
The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2 is one of those great old school games that stands up surprisingly well today despite its age thanks largely in part due its simple yet engaging gameplay mechanics and charming cartoon visuals reminiscent of classic Saturday morning cartoons from back in the day when Looney Tunes were still popular on television screens everywhere around the world!
