Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2 for the Nintendo Game Boy Color is an action-packed platform shooter that takes place in a world populated by plastic soldiers.

Developed by 3DO and published by The 3DO Company, this game was released in 2000 as a sequel to the original Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes.

Players assume the role of Sergeant Hawk, leader of the Green Army, and must battle against the Tan Army and its devious leader General Plastro.The story begins with Sergeant Hawk's mission to rescue three Green soldiers who were kidnapped by General Plastro and his forces.

In order to save them, Hawk must traverse a number of environments filled with enemies such as tanks, helicopters, and other hazards.

Along the way he will acquire new weapons and power-ups that will help him in his quest.

The game also includes several minigames which can be unlocked throughout the course of play.Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2 is played from an isometric viewpoint similar to many other games on the Game Boy Color at the time.

Players control Sergeant Hawk through a variety of levels using either the directional pad or buttons to move around and jump over obstacles or attack enemies with a variety of weapons including rifles, grenades, bazookas, flamethrowers, mines, and more.

Special items such as health packs and ammunition can be found scattered throughout each level which can be used to replenish health or ammo when needed.

Additionally players can find bonus levels hidden within some areas which offer up additional rewards if completed successfully.

The graphics are colorful but somewhat blocky due to being limited by hardware constraints of the Game Boy Color system, however they still manage to give off an interesting atmosphere that brings life into this miniature plastic battlefield.

The sound effects are also quite basic but do their job well enough without becoming too repetitive or annoying during extended play sessions.

Overall Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2 is an enjoyable entry into the series that offers up plenty of action for fans of side scrolling shooters on the Game Boy Color while also providing enough challenge for even veteran players looking for a good time.

The visuals may not be spectacular but they still manage to capture some charm that keeps things interesting while navigating through all of General Plastro’s traps and challenges along your journey towards rescuing those three Green soldiers from captivity!
