Aladdin for the Nintendo Game Boy Color is an action platform game developed and published by Virgin Interactive in 1993.
The game is based on the 1992 Disney animated film of the same name, taking place after the events of the movie.
The player controls Aladdin, a street urchin from Agrabah who must defeat Jafar and his minions to save Princess Jasmine and her kingdom.
The game features seven levels, each with their own unique enemies and obstacles that Aladdin must overcome.
In each level, Aladdin must collect gems while avoiding traps, fighting off enemies, and solving puzzles.
He can also find power-ups such as apples which restore health or special stones that give him extra lives.
Aladdin can use a scimitar to attack enemies or throw apples at them to stun them temporarily.
He can also jump on their heads or slide down walls in order to pass through tight spaces.
In addition to its main gameplay elements, Aladdin also features several mini-games and bonus levels that are unlocked when certain conditions are met within the main levels.
These include a bonus level where Aladdin has to collect coins within a time limit; a race against Abu where he has to reach the end of a course before his monkey friend; and a flying carpet ride where he has to dodge obstacles while collecting gems.
Aladdin for the Nintendo Game Boy Color was praised for its vibrant graphics, detailed animations, catchy soundtrack, and challenging yet rewarding gameplay.
It was one of the most popular games released for the system at the time and remains fondly remembered by many fans today.
It was also re-released in 2001 as part of Disney's Classic Games series for Game Boy Advance with improved graphics and sound quality but otherwise remained unchanged from its original version.
