Released in 2003, Mission Impossible - Operation Surma is an action-adventure game developed by Paradigm Entertainment and published by Infogrames for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.
Based on the popular film franchise of the same name, Mission Impossible - Operation Surma puts players in control of Ethan Hunt as he attempts to stop a terrorist organization from launching a deadly virus.
The game follows Ethan Hunt as he infiltrates their headquarters and uses his special skills and gadgets to complete his mission.
The game starts off with Ethan receiving a briefing from his superior, Jim Phelps.
He is informed that the terrorist group, known as "The Syndicate", is planning to launch a virus called SURMA into the world's water supply in order to gain control over it.
To prevent this from happening, Ethan must infiltrate their base and recover data on the virus before it can be launched.
He is also instructed to do whatever it takes to stop them, no matter what the cost may be.
Once inside the Syndicate's base, players will find themselves faced with a variety of challenges that they must overcome in order to progress further into their mission.

In addition to its single player mode, Mission Impossible - Operation Surma also includes two multiplayer options; "Head-to-Head" and "Cooperative".
In Head-to-Head mode two players take turns controlling Ethan Hunt as they attempt to complete various missions together while in Cooperative mode both players work together as a team towards completing their objectives.
