Metroid: Zero Mission is a critically acclaimed action-adventure game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.

Developed by renowned game developer Nintendo, it is a remake of the classic NES title Metroid.

The game follows intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran as she investigates a Space Pirate base on planet Zebes.

Players must explore labyrinthine passageways and battle alien creatures while collecting power-ups to increase Samus' abilities.

The story begins with Samus Aran being sent by the Galactic Federation to investigate a Space Pirate base on the planet Zebes.

Upon arriving, she discovers that the Space Pirates have been using an ancient Chozo artifact called the "Baby Metroid" in their experiments.

After destroying the base and rescuing the Baby Metroid, she returns to her ship only to find it attacked by Space Pirates.

She crash lands on Zebes and is forced to traverse through its dangerous environments if she ever hopes to escape alive.

Metroid: Zero Mission features many elements from its predecessor such as exploration, item collection, platforming, and shooting enemies.

However, it also introduces several new elements such as new power-ups and abilities for Samus including energy tanks, morph balls, grapple beams, and power bombs.

These items allow players to access previously inaccessible areas in order to discover hidden items or progress further in the game.

Additionally, there are several minigames scattered throughout which can be accessed by finding special doors throughout each area of Zebes.

The graphics of Metroid: Zero Mission are much improved over those of its predecessor making use of pre-rendered sprites instead of pixel art for characters and environments alike.

The soundtrack has also been significantly revamped featuring both original compositions as well as rearranged tracks from previous titles in the series such as Super Metroid (1994).

Overall, Metroid: Zero Mission is an excellent action-adventure title that combines elements from its predecessor with new features for an updated experience that still feels familiar yet fresh at the same time.

With its fantastic visuals, engaging gameplay mechanics, and memorable soundtrack; this remake remains one of Nintendo's finest efforts on their handheld console and is highly recommended for any fan of classic side scrolling action games.
