Zoop or Zoop: A Puzzle Game of Strategy and Action is a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive puzzle game released in 1995. The game was developed by Hookstone Productions, published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment, and distributed by Sega.
The goal of the game is to clear the screen of colored blocks by shooting the same color blocks with an arrow that moves around the screen. The player can move the arrow up, down, left, and right to shoot colored blocks. The main objective is to clear all of the colored blocks on each level without letting any blocks reach the bottom of the screen. If any block reaches the bottom, then it's game over for the player.
The game features three different modes: Novice Mode, Advanced Mode, and Expert Mode. In Novice Mode, there are only four colors to shoot at and no special power-ups or bonuses to help you out. Advanced Mode adds more colors as well as power-ups such as bombs and point multipliers which can be collected after clearing a certain number of blocks. Expert Mode is similar to Advanced mode but adds even more colors and power-ups as well as tougher levels that require quick thinking and fast reflexes in order to succeed.
The graphics in Zoop are simple yet colorful cartoon-style sprites that help bring life to each level. The music also fits perfectly with each level adding a bit more excitement when shooting off those colorful blocks!
Overall, Zoop is a great puzzle game for both casual gamers who want something easy to pick up and play or hardcore puzzle fans looking for something challenging yet rewarding at the same time. With its simple controls and colorful graphics, Zoop will keep players entertained for hours on end!
