Sonic Drift is a racing video game released for the Sega Game Gear in 1995. It was the first Sonic the Hedgehog racing game, and one of the few to be released on a handheld console. The game was developed by Sega AM3 and published by Sega.

The main objective of Sonic Drift is to race against other characters from the Sonic series, including Sonic himself, Tails, Dr. Robotnik, Metal Sonic, Fang the Sniper and Amy Rose. Players must complete three laps around each track while avoiding obstacles such as rocks and oil slicks to reach the finish line first. The player can also collect rings scattered throughout each course which can be used to purchase power-ups that will improve their car's speed or handling capabilities. There are six different tracks in total, each with its own unique layout and obstacles.

The controls in Sonic Drift are simple to use yet still allow for a degree of precision when it comes to controlling your vehicle. The game features an auto-acceleration feature which allows players to hold down a button while they steer their vehicle with either the D-pad or analog stick. This makes it easier for players who may not have experience with racing games on consoles like this one.

In addition to single-player mode, Sonic Drift also has a two-player mode where two players can race against each other locally or via link cable. Each player chooses their own character and car before beginning the race; there are no restrictions on how many times a particular character can be chosen or how many cars can be used at once in multiplayer mode.

Overall, Sonic Drift is an enjoyable racing game that offers plenty of challenge for experienced gamers as well as those who are new to this type of game. The graphics and music are great too; they really add atmosphere and excitement to each race you take part in!
