Ninku 2: Tenkuryu-e no Michi is a side-scrolling action platformer video game developed by Sega for the Sega Game Gear console. It is the sequel to the original Ninku, released in 1995, and was released in Japan in 1997.

The story of Ninku 2 follows the same premise as its predecessor: a group of ninja warriors known as the Ninku set out on a quest to protect their homeland from evil forces. This time, however, their mission has been made much more difficult by the emergence of an ancient artifact known as the Tenkuryu-e. This powerful object has been used by a mysterious cult to create an army of monsters that threaten to destroy all life on Earth. In order to stop them, the Ninku must find and defeat each one of these creatures before they can cause any more destruction.

Gameplay in Ninku 2 consists mostly of side-scrolling action levels where players must battle enemies and traverse platforms while avoiding obstacles and collecting power-ups along the way. The game also includes some puzzle elements, such as pushing blocks and switching levers, which require some thought in order to progress through certain sections. Additionally, there are several mini-games scattered throughout the levels that can be played for bonus points or extra lives.

Players control one of five characters throughout the game: Fuusuke (the protagonist from the first game), his brother Kinta, his sister Shizuku, their friend Gara (who was originally an enemy in Ninku) and a new character named Hanabusa. Each character has their own unique abilities that must be utilized in order to progress through each level; for example, Kinta can throw shurikens while Shizuku can use her magic spells to defeat enemies or manipulate objects around her.

Ninku 2 features multiple endings depending on how well players perform throughout each level; if they manage to complete every stage with perfect timing and accuracy then they will get access to special bonus levels which contain even tougher challenges than those found in regular play mode. Players can also collect coins throughout each level which can be used at shops located within certain stages; here they can purchase items such as extra lives or health upgrades which will help them survive longer during later levels.

Overall, Ninku 2 – Tenkuryu-e no Michi is an enjoyable experience that fans of platformers should definitely check out if they’re looking for something different from other titles available on the Game Gear console at the time; it offers plenty of challenge but also rewards those who take their time with its varied gameplay mechanics and multiple endings.
